I'm in trouble now....

Well...stupid husband trick of the week...

The lovely wife and I just bought matchng Scion XD Rls1.0 - that's a story in itself, BUT, while cleaning up the garage and making room for the two cars, Nomad and Vulcan 900 Custom, I finished and hit the garage door closer---walk into the house---and hear---CRASH

Think to myself - Hmmm, that doesn't sound good. Go out to investigate and see that my @(*&^#^%$E OEM Nomad Exhaust has fallen of a shelf and put a nice dent in the wife's gas tank. :(" title="" border="0"/> :(" title="" border="0"/>

Damn :-[ So I call her and she is actually really good about it. First thing is I said I'd make it right and she knows I will. Damn :-[

She took it WAY better than I would have.

So, I am looking for a NEW OEM CANDY PLASMA BLUE 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 CUSTOM gas tank

I don't want used, or aftermarket or unpainted or any compromise.

Any help out there?

I know I used to get good OEM stuff for my Bandit from some name I would remember, like Bike Bandit, but t was something else....

Thanks in advance Maybe the day will get better. :-/

I'd definately try Ron Ayers first. I'm guessing about $500 for that baby.

Ive had days like that myself. It sucks when things like that happen. Good luck in your search.

How bad is the dent? are there any creases? if not you can remove it with dry ice or a hair dryer and air duster

Dent is actually pretty deep - I tried the Dry-ice and it's just too big - thanks for the help though

FWIW, with the fuel gasket, the whole deal runs $520. and 7-10 working days - at least it's already painted. Got some touch-up paint pens from colorrite to take care of a couple minor scuffs she had anyway

It's an expensive day ::)

As far as I'm concerned you are having a great day. ........ Your bride not only enjoys riding but also has HER OWN BIKE to ride along with you. Lucky stiff.

Hey check out Gadgets site, he has a way you can get that dent out using only dry ice. It'd be worth a try. :-/

Comprehensive or homeowners. Either way I think I could swallow the pride to save the wallet.

Glad she was so understanding.
