Back in the saddle?
Some of you may remember about a year ago I decided to sell my Nomad after making a tough decision about getting out of debt. My wife and I have been very blessed with a raise at work my wife's new job and some other additional income that I earned doing small engine repair and sales on the side.
We are ahead of schedule on our goals at this point. We have decided in the spring I am either getting a newer truck or a bike. I was shocked when I asked my wife today she said even though she only rode one summer she really missed the bike and would rather have a bike! I am thinking in March or April I will be looking for a new bike!! We both loved the 2000 Nomad I had. I think I will stick with the Nomad brand. I may get a newer 1600 though. I'm amazed how blessed we have been I didn't think I would be at this point until next winter. Anyways I'm gonna be back on the forum and in a few months will be asking you guys to keep a lookout for deals for me. I guess the truck will wait another year or so :) Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Yee-haww! After years of kids and no bike, one of the sweetest sounds I ever heard was the wife saying, "Why don't you get one?"
Congrats. Make sure to include "blue" in your searches.

Well, that's great news. Good for you. It's great to be out of debt. We inherited some money from my dad when he passed away and paid off the house and for awhile were out of debt completely. Then this Spring we decided to buy a used motor home, so now we have a payment. The motor home is up for sale! Hope you find the exact bike you're looking for. Happy daze!

That is good news and the bonus is bike shopping is second only to driving one.

I'm happy to hear your plans are working out. Get youself a 1600 and worry about the truck later.

Back in the saddle?
I had a feeling I would get support here on letting the truck wait :) I just got done shoveling 3" snow off the walk for the thanksgiving guests and all I can think about is taking a 3 hour ride across the pass to my favorite BBQ place on my new bike! lol ( that would be Country Boys BBQ in Cashmere.)
Kris, I'll be getting a hold of you when I start looking. Happy Thanksgiving all!! Larry |

Happy Thanksgiving to you too Larry and all my southern neighbors. I'm glad for you that you're doing well/better financially and the bike is now a doable proposition.
We're still watching the snow fall too, here in BC. It's really too bad I can't get out of the house to help the people in the complex shovel. .....really too bad.
