Idaho's jack adapter - Safety Notice

What I always do when doing maintenance is remove the key. Gives me a good reminder to check everything out before starting.

Might want to install a length of wire cable on the left side of the adapter that would loop around and attach to the kick stand (locking it in the down position) you can't drive off then.

Thanks Aj, I'm glad as well. Amazing thing is that other people have done the same thing. Maybe we should just weld them in place. I will have to ponder that one for a bit.

Idaho's jack adapter - Safety Notice

I was going to look for the original jack adapter thread but saw this one while looking for it and stopped. Idaho, what's the drive-out price on a jack adapter? I'm tired of blocking up and having to crawl on my belly to do an oil change.

The adapters are $85 including shipping. It definitely holds the bike nice and steady on the jack and allows you to get the bike higher off the ground.

Basically, it "flattens the bottom of the bike", it almost extends the length of the frame giving you more jacking surface. It is not jack specific. I use it with a $59 Harbor Freight jack

If you have a standard MC jack with flat arms, Harbour Freight or Craftsman for instance, then the adapter will work. It is just like v0lusia says, it provides a flat frame for the jack to lift against.

Idaho.......LOL......WOW....I did the exact same thing....
After putting my wheels back on a couple of weeks ago...I went for a test ride. Eight miles into town and eight miles back....
Got back and saw it still hanging under the bike.....Woah...SOB
I felt like an idiot.

Anyway....I'm OK and so are you.

Ride Safe

Refugio, Put a big pink ribbon on the handlebars that you remove to the adapter frame after you remove the adapter. Be careful. These things are EASY to forget.
