A special thanks to Idaho for his brilliant idea for a Jack Adapter to use while lifting our Nomads.
This is a copy of his design...I made mine at the shop where I work......Very stable lifting...No wood shims needed.

As far as lifting a Nomad, there just isn't a better/safer way to do it!!!!!!!!

Wow! Looks good. I had a bike lift like that for a short while. I don't know if my bike sits ultra low or what the problem was, but I had a lot of trouble getting the jack under the Nomad......let alone adding to the hight of the lift. My son-in-law now has the lift for his CB750 or whatever it is. Is there a secret to these lifts or what. I've never heard of anyone else having the same problem.

Hi Rickyboy. I think the secret is to have the bike level when putting the lift under the bike and not when the bike is on the side stand. My jack goes under easily (even with an Idaho style adapter attached to the bike) when the bike is upright (in a front wheel chock).

Yes....Get someone to stradle the bike for you and hold it up right level.
Then slide the jack under it......Some have had to roll the front tire up on a 1x4 or a 2x4 when using the jack adapter.

I roll the bike up on 2 pcs of 2x6 for a little extra clearance.

I'd like to say thanks to Idaho as well. He has sent me a template for lowers which I received on Friday. Very quick, I might add.

Same here, and a piece of 2X something under the side stand.
