LED Turn Signals
Does anyone have a SIMPLE procedure for sorting out the flasher unit on a 1600 Nomad, I'll explain. I want to replace the stock turn signal bulbs with like for like replacement LED bulbs. I understand that without making any changes, the flash rate will be too high, or may not work at all. I have read that resistors can be wired in to make them work, don't really want to do that. I have also read that by changing the flasher unit to an electronic unit the problem can be solved BUT, the self canceling feature will no longer work. I am prepared to sacrifice the self canceling but don't have a clue as to what flasher unit to purchase or how to go about installing/swapping with the stock unit (wiring etc). I am sure I have read somewhere how to do this, I might have even read how to keep the self canceling feature (or was that a dream). Any help please?
