Greetings from AZ
New member here on the forums. Picked up a Nomad 1700 a while back and been making her mine ever since.
We've laughed We've cried I've screwed a few things up (Luckily she forgave me) Anyway, it's good to be here with fellow Vulcan riders. In this opening introduction, I also have a question for you. Anybody make some good replacement bags for the Nomad? Preferably leather? Don't really care for the look or function of the factory hard bags. They just feel cheap to me. Welcome to the forum !! That is one nice looking Nomad . I like the two tone color combo on it . The bags go very well with the color scheme . Just my opinion though .
You might want to check this out : They have some really nice leather bags if you do go that route . https://www.vikingbags.com/ Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Thank you kindly for the welcomes
Spent the first 19 years of life on the North Coast of Cali. Doesn't exactly match my riding style. Would like to ride up the coast in the future though. Never been to Canada or Italy. Would love to go some time. Can't complain about the two-tone. Kinda like it myself. Just not a fan of the plastic bags. I'll have to look into the Vikings, they look nice but may sit a little high for the Nomad as they seem to only have offerings for the Classic. We shall see. |

Welcome aboard from Georgia. You probably not going to find much as a direct swap on the bags, 'cause Nomads come with the hard bags.
Good luck on the search though.

Got folks from all over the world here, that is pretty awesome!
Was really hoping for some kind of bolt on leather as opposed to the throw overs. Bike has that chrome trim that is right in the way of the throw over bags. Also, anybody got any PCV maps? |

Hey JD,
Been looking into Ivan's mod. Bike just came with the PCV already installed so it is a free option to play with for now while I get the funds together for Ivan. Any maps would be greatly appreciated. 1st owner put on a High flow intake and the PCV. I picked up the bike with only 1300 miles on her and have sense added the V&H Pro Pipe to the mix. Ivan's mod is next on the performance list. |
