Easy cure, will ride in rain!

I do however, try to avoid severe storms - nothing like getting caught on a bike in a hailstorm.

Yeah looks like 5 days of rain. I am pretty sure I have ridden in the rain as much as sunshine, when going on trips, but when I comes to a pleasure ride, if it's raining, I'd just a soon park the bike and get on with work.

Getting caught in the rain is one thing, but starting out in the rain is not something I will do unless it is to a rally and I have to leave that day to get there on time.
Like we did for the 2009 North East Regional in Bath NY
I followed fish {not real fish, Larry aka Fish} down a main street and he was leaving a wake like a boat
It was Cindy and my first rally and although only 7 or 8 people showed up it was a great time and the start of some good friendships.
There have been many more rallies and great times since.
Doesn't Cindy look like she is having fun in this pic

Tim, We had that experience going to the National. Poring rain so you could hardly see and the road flooded up to the curbs and here's Sly, Guy, and myself following Caper down the road making waves and looking for a hotel. When Caper turned in to a place, I had no idea if it was the drive way or a ditch and I bet neither did he, but he didn't go down, so we all followed. Man it was good to get out of that rain.

Yeah, starting out in the rain sucks. I started a trip last year in the rain and rode for 4 days in it. It finally cleared and the rest of the trip was fine.

When I lived in the Seattle area, it was ride in the rain or don't ride so much.

As a plumber in the Puget Sound Region, I learned that the human epidermis is reasonably water proof.

Living in Phoenix, it's not really a problem. When it does rain hear, its all at once. Then I'm grateful for all the wet riding experience I got in Seattle.
