Yup, That and Cape Breton. Did that in 2009, that's how I met Donnie.
I'd sure do that again.

Yeah Steve threw me too, I thought maybe Donnie canceled his membership here and decided to come back. Not the case it would seem as Caper is still active he just has not been on since June.

Well I wasn't really, but I have said in the past for Cape Breton what a neat Eastern Canada / US North East rally that would be.

I'd like to, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to swing it this summer. I'll have a better idea as summer arrives.

Ive been to Cape Breton, but in a motorhome. I'd love to do it on a bike.
Al and my brother went there last summer and had a great time.

This would be a bigger commitment on time than our regionals have in the past, I'm thinking 2 days travel each way plus 3 days there. If we all got serious about it and Larry and Tim thought it would be good, we could consider this for our joint regional in 2014.
The National is this year and a number of folks from this end can't commit to that distance or time this summer, me included. If a replacement rally were held for those who can't do Colorado, I would be more in favor of something closer and a short time for all. Just my thoughts.

Just dreaming..... may take a ride up to the Gaspé this summer, not sure. Wanted to do the national, but time is an issue and working betweeen meals doesn't help. If the N/E - eastern CA group decides to do something, I'm in! One day at a time. One thing is certain, with the amount of snow on the ground here, doesn't look like the bikes will be out before late April - mid May :(

Well you guys have sold me. I have decided to cancel going to Colorado and head for Canada! Gonna take the 2 weeks I had planned for the National and try to hit Gaspesie and Cape Breton. I did mountains in Montana last year and figure the coastal scenery will be a nice change. Also will be less time just burn up miles and time, and more great riding.

I have already started initial planning, if anyone can recommend good places to stay, eat or visit I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, if anyone would like to meet up anywhere along the way I would be all for it.

Currently, have vacation scheduled for June 19th through the 7th of July. But that's not set in stone.

BTW hope you all don't mind me inviting myself onto your board. I do have ancestral roots and distant relatives in Nova Scotia.

Oops, look what we have done. Pat can't say much about places to stay as last time I was in Gaspé was a long time ago and we camped and stayed with friends. As for Nova Scotia and Cape Breton that is much more recent. My sig pic is the Cabot trail on Cape Breton Island, a must do. The town of Beddeck is the best place to stay to do the trail. We stayed 2 nights there as the trail will take almost all day with sight seeing stops and loops back close to where you start.
Lunenburg, Peggy's cove are other must see places.
This site should help.

Also in the top right corner of the home page, you can order a paper copy of the guide, or if you don't they are available at most tourist info centers.

Nope, always welcome. We have an open door policy except for those pesky guys who stop by to demonstrate their year round riding conditions.

I hear ya I was all excited because I got to ride to work this morning. Gotta love Gerbing! Looking at a new storm tomorrow, but they cannot decide if it will be snow or rain.... One month until spring officially begins!!

Stay warm!
