Hard to tour the country, if you have to keep going back and pick up a car and trailer.

No Norm, my point is that it was just Nomads. But now we are and should include all Vulcan baggers? I just am not sure that the others know? I know all bikes are welcome but again I am speaking of all Vulcans: ya know???

I agree with you Caper, If you go that far it is worth enjoying the journey not just the destination.

Sorry for butting in here.

Any hard bagged Vulcan is welcome to join as a full member. VBA includes: 1500, 1600 and 1700 Nomads as well as the Vaquero and Voyager.

Anybody, on any bike, has always been welcome at our Rally's. A lot of us have freinds that come to the rally and ride other brands.

I believe Trip gave the idea of including all vulcans with bags some thought, but in the end limited it to hard bag vulcans as there are several other sites that cater to all Vulcans.
Having said that, an owner of any other bike is welcome to join VBA and the forum under the status of enthusiast.

My daughter's dog got rid of the bag thing, but it wasn't his choice.

To help you guys a little bit... let me just say that I currently have plans to hold our 2013 National Rally at Salida, Colorado.

Salida is located in an area of Colorado that gives us all access to all the good roads and sight-seeing.

However, I don't think we'll be holding it in June, like we've done with the past rally's. Probably will be planned for September. This is due to several reasons....one, the first snow-fly for Colorado is usually in October, so we want to have our rally before that. Also, September gets us past the monsoon rains.

More to come.

Just a thought...September eliminates all of us educators from attending due to the school year.

Thanks for that info Trip. I would hope if it has to be September it would be early September. Add a week or two after the rally for sight seeing and a week for the trip back for us and we could be riding home in iffy weather. Also mid September or later the daylight hours are shorter by a fair bit in this part of North America.
