Was wondering who out there was planning an going to Lake George for Americade 2011.
When were folks planning on traveling?
Where was everyone staying?
I'll start things off.
I'll be heading out of Orillia on Saturday, overnight in Iroquois on the 4th and on to Lake George with my brother on the 5th.
Were booking into the Park Lane downtown, heading back up to Lake Placid on the 8th.
It's a short week for us as compared to most who attend, but early in the week the price is right. We did the same last year and enjoyed it.

Unfortunately that is right before we head off to Maggie Valley, so it's a no go for me.

I plan on getting there one day, but this year is out of the question for me as well. The National Rally is my big ride for the year this season.

If I am not mistaken Laconia starts the following week 11th?
Maybe we could plan to go as a group to one or the other events in the future.

Laconia does sound good for next year. I have been 3 times, but in the early 80's.
Hardly had any Harleys then, they had the Sturgis run at the same time I think.
Could be something to plan, we just need to book a hotel early in the new year
to make sure we get one...:)

Cheers

I have a cottage/cabin rented at "Half Moon Motel & Cottages". Basically 500' from the boardwalk off tower street.

If the nomad is there, I'll be a at the boardwalk if not, I'll be out riding .

Sturgis and Laconia never were at the same time.
Laconia is the oldest bike week (88th this year if not mistaken)

I booked my cottage in early January to be able to get something close to the boardwalk to be able to have a few at the concerts and not ride

Last year we took a taxi from the Broken Spokes Saloon back and only cost us 20$. Worth every penny "IF YOU DRINK, DON'T RIDE!!!!!"

If being around "1%" wearing their colors or selling support material bothers you, maybe Laconia BikeWeek isn't 4 you.

Laconia, sometimes does get really "Colorful & Supportive"
