Meet and greet half way ride.

Hey everyone, last year some of us from western Quebec and eastern Ontario rode west to meet up with some fellow kawanow members from the Toronto area as they rode east.
There has already been some interest in doing this again for 2011, so I thought we could start kicking some ideas around.
Some of the questions that come to mind are, who would be interested? When do you want to do this? Where do you want to meet? And as it was along haul for most would an overnight get together work better, or stick with a one day event?

Meet and greet half way ride.

Hi Norm
First, thanks for kicking this one off!
Would be gr8 to have a run, count me in!
As to a where to ride, how about we ask Steve & Al if they would have a randez vous point? & we could take it from that?
Just an idea….
Cheers
Guy

Meet and greet half way ride.

Al and I were just talking of meeting up with you guys before long. I have some stuff to pick up from Sylvain. For me a day trip like last year would be best. I have a few things to get done around here and my riding time on weekends will be limited until after the rally. How does one day on the Easter weekend sound thats coming up in a couple weeks. Do you want to keep it in the Kingston area?

Meet and greet half way ride.

I'm in for sure I'm available every other weekend and during the week, depends on work :-/ Something like last year is alright with me, a day trip w/sleep-over could be a thought, but not a priority for me, whatever, I'm easy NO! DO NOT GO THERE So there you have it. End of April or the beginning of May would be a ggod start, if everyone is available, the rally isn't that far away

Meet and greet half way ride.

I was thinking definitely before the rally. April and early May are a busy time for me, but I might fit a day ride in. Also keep in mind that it is much cooler by the water in the early part of the year, so the temperature for the day we choose could be a factor.

I'm in, let me know when. Had 2 cancel trip to BC, :(can't take 2 weeks off in late April early May, damn election is giving me lots of work n money ::)

As for location, I'll leave that to others this time ;)
(maybe I'll look at my maps and do a few suggestions )

2 day could be good but not a priority 2 me.

As a shift worker, the dates available for me would be the Apr 23, May 7 or 21 weekend. And Kingston would be ideal for me. I love the city and it's waterfront. Keep this idea alive.

The 23rd is the only date that I can do, I change weekends that weekend too, so I have to go in on Sunday :-/ How about the rest of you?

I think the 23rd should work for me as well. I guess it also depends on the weather to a certain extent.

Depending on the date I'm in, unfortunately 23rd wont work for me. A day trip or an over nighter is fine by me.

OK the 23 of April works for most so far. What other date say later in May works. I am just trying to give our selves an option should the weather not be good and find a date that works for everyone. bear in mind May 21st is during a long weekend and might interfere with other plans some people could be planning.

As for me the 23 is ok, like I said, I flip weekends after that, I'll be off the next weekend (30-1, 14-15) and so on. The 21 my neice is getting married, so that't out for me.. I would really like to meet all, but life does get in the way sometimes ::)

Hi!
23 won't work for me... :-/ Inlaws are coming over for Easter BBQ. Would 22 or 24 be good? Looking forward to a group run
Cheers

OK, so the 23rd of April is out for vulcanguy and Nomadbehappy. It is a long weekend for most. As Guy mentioned, can one of the other days on that weekend work?, Friday the 22nd? The 24th does not work for Sly by the looks of it.
Most of May seems to be an issue as any of the weekends that Sly is free, Steammarc is working and visa versa.

I guess in situations like these, go by seniority. I can sit out till the stars are properly aligned for me. (P.S. Not after December 2012 though, the world is supposed to end by then). ::)
