I have just booked my HOTEL and vacation request. They had no NON-smoking rooms at Maggie Valley Inn so I have booked at the Laurel Park Inn. I am on the waiting list for Maggie INN. Still don't know if the wife will be coming or not so I may want to share a room with someone if it is possible but will cross that bridge when I get to it. SO, now I need particulars on travel with you guys. When and where are you meeting? I am traveling from Hamilton so I am hoping to hook up with RINGADINGH and the group there. I have booked the hotel from 13 to the 16. Is there a fee for the Rally itself? Will i need to pull a trailer? Not sure how to pack. Lots of question because I have never traveled on a NOMAD before or anyother bike for that case.

Thats great that your going to make it down there. Your welcome to meet up with us on The Sunday morning sometime, as we'll be passing right by on the way to Fort Erie. Theres no rally fees, and you shouldn't need to pull a trailer, especially if your coming alone. Jeans and T shirts are pretty well the norm for packing clothing.

Does any of you take cameras or computers? If so, how do you find the safest way to transport them down?

I had brought my computer last year to the ralley and on vacation... I just stuff it between my clothes in the saddle bag. It's also in a padded bag, NO problems what so ever.... Just don't put it with the beer

Bring a camera for sure, if you don't have proof in a pic people will deny the stuff they did later on.

I have discussed it with the wife and she will not be joining us. I have found a roomy at the Maggie Valley (GIBBY). I will be riding solo. Let me know more of the details closer to the ride so that we can discuss a place to meet up.

Aren't you the practical one all of a sudden Steve.

Blueraven, good to hear you are coming. Packing should not be an issue even for 2 if you have a sissy bar bag to hold the overflow from the saddle bags.
Opps, just noticed you have a tourpac, so you should have lots of room.

Well, this will be interesting. Riding solo. Where were your thoughts on a place to meet? I was thinking Fort Erie just be for we cross. Meet at the DUTY FREE lot as we want to load up before we go down and maybe get a drink (tea) or something. Your thoughts?
