Planning the ride to the National Rally

I'm going (my first - so go easy on the virgin); I plan on leaving on the 11th and crossing over to the US in Fort Erie. I was going to ride Saturday and Sunday arriving sometime early afternoon on Monday.

If anyone has plans that are close to mine I will adjust love to meet up on the way.

Mike

Planning the ride to the National Rally

Hey bogatyrs, It will be the first national rally for many of us. Sly and I will be coming from Montreal and Vulcanguy maybe coming from Ottawa as well. Not sure where we are crossing yet, but I think we will more or less travel down 81. The time frame will be the same as yours, start out early Sat and arrive Mon afternoon.
Ring will be coming from up Toronto way as well. Our routes will probably converge, so it is quite possible to meet up at some point.
I think that if we start with everyone posting the route they are thinking of taking and their probable Sat and Sun stop overs, We could work on where we could meet up.

Of course you guys all know that at rallies in the US, it's customary for those visiting our great country to buy the beer. ::)

Hey Norm I'll split the cost on one beer for C.J..
I always thought the host took care of the guests when they came to visit. ???

I didn't know that and will certainly comply - do they take Canadian Tire Money in NC? Strange usually the host supplies the refreshments...

Have a good day - Dreamer!

I brought some Molson 10.5% King cans to the North Eastern rally in N.Y and nobody wanted to try them, so I drank them myself.

Jim, if you drank one, you probably would not remember correctly.

That's taking one (or should I say more than one) for the team!

Jim, I'm not a gin drinker, but we will have to drink to your memory, or loss of when we meet up at the National.

We sure had fun at that rally, but for some reason the (Canadian) team was the last group to retire each night.

I'll pitch in on that beer for CJ as well. Just think, two of those Molson high test beers is like having a box of the American beer.
