Looking for a ride to SD in '09!

If any Virginia rider from Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Newport News, Richmond, Fredericksburg, or even northeast NC are traveling solo to SD for the 2009 rally and wouldn't mind letting me be a passenger on the trip, then please let me know. ::) I will gladly help out with the gas! I have a family of 3 going but a bike for 2.

Todds from NC and if you have long arms and a hairy chest I'm sure he'd be delighted to have company....

I definitely do not have a hairy chest, and I'll leave it at that! ;) If I did, then I'd be a freak, not to say, a fright to my son. My arms are just long enough...to hold on!

I think everything will work out fine. It was the best solution for me. I am indebted to the rider. Now I have plenty of time to plan things out for the trip. This is a first for me, perhaps a once in a lifetime adventure, though I hope to have the opportunity to make it to many more rallies.

I am at an age where I need to do the things in life I want to before I leave this world, so I was told by a close friend of mine who is a seasoned Nomad owner/rider. He really made me think that day. In fact, I think about that everyday now.

I realized that what I really wanted to do to was see beyond my own front yard, and what more exciting way is there to see farther than my own yard than seeing it on a Nomad...even if just a passenger?

The next big thing I want to do is to get on an airplane which I've never done before.

Congrats!

The bike is going to be a bigger thrill than the plane IMO.....

Have fun

Flying on a plane, the only thrill is landing and takeoff. The rest is boring. Not so on a motorcycle. Pure enjoyment 100% of the time.

Thats what I've heard. :)) I can't wait to find out. I don't ride because I messed my leg up during the road test I was taking at the end of a motorcycle training course this past March 2. The bike I was using stalled and my leg twisted as the weight of the bike came down on it. I was coming out of a swerve, so there was no time for me to get clear of the bike. I'll be having surgery this coming Friday morning to repair my right knee. Having said all of that, I will be riding as a passenger for awhile, including the to rally in SD. I still have the want to ride one day, but it won't be quite awhile. :)
