Waving looking for fitment help

been searching here and elsewhere for info on a quick release for a backrest on my 06 nomad. someone here made one at one time, but has since moved on i guess, or isnt available.
anyway, my thought is replacing the entire backrest if needed with one from another bike. since there are multiple kits out there for the vn 2000, vn 1700 classic, vaquero, etc, i hoping to find one that will work with a little modification or none would be better. i measured the distance between the 2 mounting holes on the fender. its 9 1/4" center to center.
if anyone has any of this info and could share i would be very thankful.

Grasshopper Limited makes what I think is a quick release backrest. Only $85. I’m getting a new Vaquero this spring and will be getting a backrest from them. There are videos on YouTube that show them.

Checked them out. Looks like they are for the driver not passenger but I'll check them out again.
Thanks joe!

I have a Grasshopper on my Nomad. They are not strong enough to really lean back against, but they do help with posture & are better then nothing. I have taken a few long trips on my bike & was glad to have it.

Looks like his last post was back in June - he sold his Nomad and was selling off parts / accessories

thanks again tcat. i checked last time he was online was in december,
i have a feeling thats a dead end at this point

hence the reason i wanted to find out if maybe a vn1700, vn2000,, nomad, classic, or anything else that may have the same or similar fender mount for there passenger backrest.
there are aftermarket companies that make quick release passenger back rests for the other vn models, so im hoping, i can use one of those or modify it to work.
if anyone has the measurements for those 2 fender mounting holes on the other models, please post them up!
thanks all!

This is a quick release set up for a Vaquero - don't know if it could be made to work on a 1600 Nomad - might be worth seeing if someone has one of these for comparison.

Link to website that photo came from.

Oops, after seeing your reply I reread everything & realized your looking for a QR. passenger backrest. I'm only on the internet in the a.m. as I'm having my coffee, sometimes when I post it hasn't yet taken full effect.
