?? on intercom systems.

Wife and I will be buying a intercom system to talk while 2 up and also while she is on her bike and me on mine and maybe a few other bikes in our group. So far I seem to like the Scala Rider 9X...

Any thoughts on this system or another system you feel is a better choice.

I have the G9, it's worked great sense I bought it 3 1/2 years ago. I just don't have anything bad to say about it. If it has one weak point its the speakers there just ok. I like that the mount and the module are two separate pieces so you can buy extra mounts for other helmets. Now you need the Sena guys to chime in.

At $500 it ought to have outstanding speaker's.I bought an el cheapo bluetooth headset from ebay for $10 and they sound pretty good playing music through my sat nav.

I wouldn't mind an intercom system but so far wife and I just use the hand system. It has a few interesting gestures involved It does break down though when I look back and she is not there. I always ask myself "when the hell did she pull off"

I'd buy what ever the guys you ride with most have, as they don't really talk to other brands. Saying that I bought a sena 20S, I love it! Plus it will talk to one other brand ( of your choice) but recognizes it as a cell phone, so you have to be close for the intercom to work.

I would have to buy a new bike to make that happen... They are all on Harleys with the factory plug in systems. That is not going to happen, I like riding my bike not working on it. But I will say as of right now I bought the G9x and I'm not pleased with it so far. Calls people on the phone out of the blue and does not listen to what I want, has a mind of its own. I'm sure it is a learning curve I need to get past. As of right now it is nothing more than a very expensive FM radio.

Update: I figured out the problem was they were not paired correctly... Now they are a great system and I like the way they work.
