TFI Settings and Chucksters Dual Plate
I have been searching some threads on the intial setup for the TFI. Chucksters dual plate is installed and I have V&H dual baggers.
The info with the TFI is very hard to read but looks like 2.75, 3, 1.5, 9. They don't give actual numbers and I am guessing every bike will start somewhere there abouts but is probably closer to a stock bike setup. For a bigger air feed like Chucksters I was thinking the #2 yellow pot should be closer to 4 or 5. If I call tomorrow I am sure Dobeck will have more info but is there anyone else with a similar setup that can give me their starting setup numbers? From there I will fine tune some and them maybe ride her down for a dyno run.

TFI Settings and Chucksters Dual Plate
Hammer, I have the exact setup on my '07. My settings are #1 pot 3:15 - 3:30, #2 pot 5:30. I don't remember where #3 is but #4 is set at 9:00. With these settings I use 87 octane exclusively, even in this heat with no pinging. I average 40 mpg riding 2 up.

TFI Settings and Chucksters Dual Plate
My 1600 has Chuckster's single plate intake and Roadhouse exhaust.
Warm engine. Raise idle rpm to 2000. Adjust pot 1 to achieve highest rpm. Mine is about 3:00 The book say's to start pot 2 out at 3:00. 3 will be to low. Mine is at 5:30. I suggest starting at 4 to 4:30. Keep increasing till it's too much gas when romping on it. pot 3 at 1:00 (off) you won't running that high of rpm's pot 4 at 9:00....4500 rpm for pot 3 to kick in.

TFI Settings and Chucksters Dual Plate
Thanks guys. I fired it up at 2.5,4,1,9 to start with and the #2 pot kicks in fine with a quick throttle twist. I will adjust pot#1 and road test for pot#2 tomorrow.
I am comfortable with the TFI because it's pretty much like working with carbs which I am used to. Less work of course.
