Looking To Pull a Trailer

I'm looking to put a trailer behind my '06 Nomad and living within 2 miles of the famous Bush Tech Trailers in Tennessee, ]I feel $2500-3000 is crazy to spend on one. can any one give me any trailer dealers and also where can I get the hitch mount for the bike?

Looking To Pull a Trailer

I just built a hitch for my 1600 nomad. I couldn't find one that let me keep my side rails around the saddle bags. There are several Ideals on here for trailers. I like the harbor freight one the best

If you want to read a ton about trailers, go to Delphi forums and go to the motorcycle trailer towing board. They have a ton of guys that have towed bazillions of miles and can answer about any question you may have. Also, no need to spend big $$ for a trailer. You can build one yourself out of a Harbor Freight or Northern Tools small trailer and a cargo box of your choice for under $500. HF has them on sale through March 23 for $149.00 in store.

Here is a link to the MTT board: http://forums.delphiforums.com/MCTrailertowing/start

Dang, I forgot to mention your trailer Joe and Chuckster's hitches. Cactusjack built a HF trailer recently too! Oh, and check Craig's list for trailers. Sometimes you can pick up the fancy ones, just older versions, for between $400-$800

I've logged several thousand miles with my piggybacker, and had no trouble at all. The price is decent, and it tracks very welll behind the Nomad.

Looking To Pull a Trailer

I bought a real nice trailer from Little Guy Worldwide. It's a "Teardrop Mini" it looks like the saddlebags on the NOMAD. I gave $1,995.00 for the 2009 model.

Nice trailer. Don't have the bucks for one that fancy. I got a Northern Freight with 12" tires on Sunday and will start assembly this week.

$2,000 is a little steep for a trailer but hey, if you've got it, why not?

Looking To Pull a Trailer

Keith,

I paid $1,200 for my trailer including shipping and $175 for my hitch. Trailer came from americasbesttrailers on ebay and the hitch from chuckster who is a member of KawaNOW. Very satisfied with both purchases.

Americasbesttrailers is in South Carolina. You could save the shipping by picking it up. You can't be that far.

Looking To Pull a Trailer

I bought a trailer a few days ago but I haven't had a chance to pull it yet. Motorcycle trailers aren't cheap. I have been pricing them for several months now. The HF build is about the best you are going to do unless you just happen to be at the right place at the right time and get a good deal.
