Cape Breton and Nova Scotia
Do any forum members live in the Maritimes ? We just had a great 10 day trip to New Brunswick, PEI, Cape Breton and Nova Scotia.
Cape Breton is a motorcyclists dream. Twisty roads, great scenery and the people are very welcoming and friendly. We had a great time. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Hey RJ.
Yup, I live in NS 'bout 4 hour ride from the causeway. You're right about the roads, went 'round a couple years ago. I missed out on a trip last week, a bunch I hang around with went 'round the trail. My hands are getting sore and I can't grip the bars. Hoping against hope it's not permanent, if it is...... :-(.............Mike

Ive been to Cape Breton years ago, but in a motorhome, its unbelievably beautiful driving along the coast. I want to go back and do it on the bike one day soon. Its worth the trip just for the fresh sea food you can enjoy there.

I was in a car as the wife was with me and does not go on the bike anymore.
We flew to Moncton and rented a car. Stayed 3 nights in Moncton, then Pictou, Port Hawkesbury, Cape North and lastly Truro. There were lots of bikes in the area, mostly Harleys with guys from the U.S. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

I had fish and chips 4 times, seafood pasta, a lobster roll, and a halibut dinner.
We stayed in B&B's so we had a cooked breakfast every morning and dined out every night. I put on 7 lbs in 10 days ! |

4 hours from the causeway, you must be down near Mahone Bay, or even further west ? We went to Hopewell Rocks, Halifax, Advocate Bay and Peggy's Cove. Next time I would fly to Sydney and stay on Cape Breton for a week. We had some excellent B&B's and one I would definitely not go to again near the causeway in Port Hawkesbury. |

We passed close by you on the way to Halifax last Wednesday. We stayed 2 nights in a B&B in Truro. Nice place and we could walk to the local restaurants on Prince St.
