Here are Some RAM mounts attached to the handlebars
This Cup Holder will hold a 32oz cup(styrofoam cup) or a coffee mug with lid or using the supplied koosie...a canned breverage or bottle of water.....Works real good....Went on an all day ride today with it....Cup stayed put at 80mph and lots of wind



Here is the RAM mount That holds my GPS .....Once you get the handlebar base with ball....Many options are available.

Looks good. I have a cup holder following Gadget's advice using a bicycle water bottle holder and it works super with the tall handleless stainless steel lined travel mugs I've got. I will need to get a RAM mount though and install a power port for my GPS and smartphone/mp3 player

I use the Ram mounts as well, very pleased with them....the one on the right is for mounting a movie camera while riding, I'll try to get a cockpit shot this weekend. See profile pic below.

Ahhhh...No...Mr. President...LOL

Usually I only have the IPod and Speakers going on my daily commute to work.
I only use the GPS and Cup Holder when on an all day ride like this past weekend.
After takin off the Cup Holder and GPS....all left to see is a small 1 inch rubber ball...Not too distracting.

Excess means nothing to me...

My wife and I are planning a trip for next summer and I would LOVE to know more about how you mounted the IPOD and the speakers. Are those light bezels?

Those ARE light bezels....However, I bought the speaker kit from www.uniqcycle.com
Those are 75watt speakers driven by a 150watt mini amp that I mounted under the left side panel above the tool box. You can plug anything with a jack into them...IPod,Radio,Satalite Radio,whatever.
It sounds great at highway speeds. I did a lot of shopping before deciding on these speakers and I found these had the best bang for the buck.

The IPod is mounted using a RAM mount : handle bar mounting base...an arm...and a base to attach the device to. RAM mounts has many different holders that are item specific to the device you are mounting. The one I bought, a weather proof type, was huge and I did not like it......I actually ended up making my own holder for my IPod...Made it out of a piece of brushed aluminum that I bought at the hardware store. It's actually made from the kickplate you buy to put on the bottom of a door. After several attempts of trial and error...I finally shaped and bent a holder for the IPod using the cracks/spaces between the wood boards on my workbench. My IPod just slides down into the holder and I can easily take it out when the bike is left unattended.
Anyway...you can buy just about any kind of mount for just about anything from www.ram-mounts.com

Can you give the part numbers for your components? I have a Touratech mount for my GPS (used on my old Connie). Need to get it onto the Nomad now. I have an "arm" but it's longer, and black. Yours looks nice! Then I just have to figure out where the power port is (still waiting on my owner's manual) so I can get power to the GPS.
