Waving New member from TN

Whats up guys. I'm new to this forum. I currently have a 1996 Vulcan 750 that I bought off of my grandmother's husband last year. Quickly outgrew it and I am heading down to Alabama in the morning to trade her for a 2004 1500 Nomad. Looking forward to riding her and learning more about the Nomad. Stuff other than my bike...I am a college football coach, have my bachelors in phys ed and am working on a masters in criminal justice. Used to be fairly competent when it came to working on vehicle, but after years of not working on any, I tend to get easily intimidated by anything mechanical haha. I'll probably have a lot of questions on here if anything ever goes wrong with the bike. Look forward to meeting and interacting with you.

Welcome to the Forum. , I'm from Missouri. First thing you may want to do is get yourself a manual on the Nomad. I't will help immensely.

I too had the 750 before the 1500. I put a 900 seat on mine that made it tons before for a big boy. Still going to the 1500 is a major improvement. Enjoy that big thang and "ride hard or stay home".

Where are you trading in Bama? I'm south of Decatur, bout 10 miles. Just buried a riding buddy in Winchester yesterday. I ride that side of the state a lot. Now that he's gone I may have to ride your side more often.

Welcome from GA and congrats on your new 1500. You will get the hang of wrenching back again and will enjoy it. I have kin in the Murray KY area which appears to be pretty close to you.
