OK, so call me fickle, but I'm back, and glad. In January I purchased a new 2010 Nomad, and in March I swapped it back for my old "05 Gold Wing, for reasons that I am unable to articulate. I guess I was so used to that kind of bike that I was finding it hard to make the transition. Anyway, I was not totally pleased with what I had done, and couldn't get comfortable on the Wing. So the other day I re-swapped back for my "old" Nomad which had not sold. No money exchanged hands! Thanks to a good dealer. Anyway, I am totally glad I did that. The Nomad is again welcomed back to the garage and I am loving it. It was a good switch. My wife also got rid of her Gold Wing as she had found it way to heavy. Riding it was fine, but handling it "on the ground" as it were was just to much, and it was injuring her shoulders. She has some serious issues with arthritis and thought she had a torn rotator cuff. Fortunately it wasn't--just strained shoulder muscles. So she got a fabulous deal on a new, leftover '09 Vulcan 900 Classic LT. She loves it and declares it a good move.

BTW, my former username was Nomadman, but I couldn't get what I thought was my password to work, so I just re-registered under this name. I am hoping the admins will let me change back to my original username.

Welcome back! I ride with a friend that has an '07 GoldWing and we switch bikes occasionally and I am always happy to get back on my Nomad. While I love all the gadgets on the Wing the riding position is not very comfortable for me. Good trade.
