Question Dobeck TFI

Would anyone have a dobeck TFI installed on their 1700 ? wonder what is the right model I would need.. I used to have a power commander but had a hard time to get the right map settings for it. Looking for something that is easy to work with

www.customdynamics.com

It is the same TFI as the 1600's.

FI-2050ST. $196

Might be cheaper elsewhere.

That's almost $50 cheaper than buying directly from Dobeck. Think I had better get one and install it over the winter.

At approx. $250 you might want to consider the Dobeck EJK/G-Man Bully. It is a little more sophisticated than the old 4-Pot Dobeck TFI and comes preprogrammed for either the 1700 Classic or 1700 Nomad/Voyager/Vaquero with Stage 3 Mods (Exhaust and Intake).

It allows for changes on-the-fly using a simple push-button and LED interface.

I have this installed on my 1700 Classic LT, and installation was truly plug-and-play. You just have to raise the fuel tank for access to the injectors.
If you already have a BAK, there will be even easier access to the injectors.

I believe that I was the first to intall this on a Classic which has a different ECU than the Nomad/Voyager/Vaquero. There were some initial programming glitches due to the differences between the ECUs. However, due to my input, the units now have updated programming that works well with the Classics. If you have a Classic, make sure to specify this when ordering. Also, make sure to order directly from either Dobeck EJK or G-Man Industries so that you get the most recent program updates. If you have a Classic, and order from any other supplier, you may get old stock with only Nomad/Voyager/Vaquero programming.

I now have smoother accelleration, a noticeable power increase, with no loss of economy or added surging.

If you order direct from Dobeck, the also give a nice discount to military, and public service professionals (Police, Fire, EMS etc).
