chrome neck pieces

all of the chrome neck pieces i have found states its for the "1600". is there any difference between the 1600 and the 1500 as far as chrome neck pieces? where do you guys go to get aftermarket chrome? i've tried dennis kirk and j&p.

Yes there's a difference between the 1500 and 1600 Nomad neck covers. I went to http://www.cheapcycleparts.com and looked in their OEM parts fiche and compared the two.

Yes they are different. I got mine (for the 1600) off ebay. They are made by National Cycle, and they add a touch of "Bling" to the bike. You have to take your tank loose and slide it back a little to get to one screw on the left side, other than that, it's just swapping black parts for chrome parts.

+1, all the neck covers i have found chromed are plastic(chromed). Look good though.

yes, but where can i go to find one for the 1500? all i have found are for the 1600.

update....still haven't found one for the 1500. i guess all they make them for is for the 1600. oh well.

I don't know the exact names but, you can find alot of companies that will "chrome anything", look in some bike mags.

I plan on having mine chromed this winter ( need new tires now).
