Netnorske... Looking forward to meeting you for lunch in Leavenworth. Your return trip route sounds like a pretty ride... I'm planning to stay in the lower 48, leaving on Sunday, stopping over in Ellensburg Sunday night. My cousin and I plan to meet Monday morning at the Red House cafe for breakfast, then motor down the river road to Naches, pickup 410 and back home... Only 2 more work days, then 6 days of great riding and a chance to meet some new riders. I'm excited. I'll see everyone in Chawelah.

Cheers, David

Should be on schedule to meet you in Leavenworth. I'm really hoping the smoke from the BC fires clears some. Could impact my entire ride route...😡

Itinerary

Here's what I have mapped out for Friday's ride:

https://goo.gl/maps/AMjiwqsJtv72

It almost a 5 hour ride plus ferry crossing time. We can stop in Republic for lunch. There is a pretty cool micro brewery there but unfortunately they do not have a restaurant. Options would be to have something ordered in (pizza??) and delivered there - they allow that or check out another restaurant in town.

Here's Saturday's ride:
https://goo.gl/maps/SBAwE1hVt3F2

This one is just over 4 hours with a lunch stop in Metaline Falls. If someone wants to make it shorter they can opt to head straight back to Chewelah from Colville. In my opinion, the Flowery Trail has to be the best part of the entire ride.

The plan would be to depart Chewelah sometime around 10:00. These rides are optional; if you have other plans or want to head out and explore on your own there are lots of great roads in the area. Another possibility if someone wants is West of Hwy 231 on to the Spokane Reservation and down to Fort Spokane along the river. A neat historic site there of the old fort.

Group Dinners:
Thursday - 6:30 PM Mondo's Cafe (Italian) 404 W Main Avenue
Friday - 6:30 PM El Ranchito (Mexican) 209 N Park Street
Saturday - 6:30 PM Sportsman's Bar & Grill (AKA Sporty's) 205 E main Street

All restaurants are within walking distance of the Nordlig Inn.

Room Reservations at The Nordlig

I received this email from Paul & Andi today:

"We just wanted to touch base with you regarding your upcoming reservations. As of this morning, we have the following reservations for your group, please let us know if you have different information. J
· Donahue (Thur/Fri only)
· Stedeford (Th/F/Sa)
· Baughan (Th/F/Sa)
· Clark (Th/F/Sa)
· Leonhardt (Th/F/Sa)

As always, we look forward to seeing you!"

Are we missing someone? I realize that most of you are sharing rooms but with 10 of us in total, it seems to me that there should be 1 more room reserved.

If you're not on the list call Paul and Andi to confirm your reservation.

Kris has mentioned another possible ride option for Friday. It's about a 3 1/2 hour ride and may be a better option considering that many of us may have a long day or 2 in the saddle getting there.

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/48.2...!4m1!3e0?hl=en

We'll discuss on Thursday night and see what everyone wants to do.

Here is a better link...just a road-less-traveled option to kick around. I'm up for anything though as I will be there all day Friday...👍

Kris,
Sounds to me like a great route. I agree that we should do that one on Friday instead of what I had originally proposed.

2017 Canada West Ride - Chewelah, WA - Aug 10-12

https://goo.gl/maps/b4EP8Zc7vBC2

Here is the same basic route with about 40 more miles added to make a complete loop. Roughly 4 hrs ride time at 191 miles. Grab some fuel and lunch in Northport, then finish the loop going clockwise. I added it to my GPS. I've definitely never ridden any of that, so I'm looking forward to it.

You guys will enjoy that Highway 25. I have ridden it and there was very little traffic on it and very scenic. Enjoy!
