Yes one bed will be fine. He told me all he had left was non smoking with two beds. Said it was upstairs. The night before a woman told me there were no rooms available. Hate to get there and find no room in the inn. Thanks for your help.

Okay, I went by the motel and talked to Kenny.
Yes Scott you have a room reserved. It was the one Paul had.
The single/double was just a mix up somewhere.

But an FYI to everyone....There are no rooms left at the base motel.
Except for his one long term guest we have the entire motel booked.

If you need a room, as suggested earlier the Days Inn in Alma
and the Super 8 or Motel 6 in Van Buren would be good places to stay.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

I just called Travelers Inn. I had made a reservation for a single, downstairs, and non-smoking. I see according to the list I got the single and downstairs but its smoking. I spoke to someone who said the room would not smell bad of smoke. It was hard to speak with them about the non-smoking reservation I made. I was wanting to know if anyone knows how bad the rooms are and how much they smell like smoke. I want to stay at base hotel, but am wondering if I am going to have to change. Budman if you know anything please advise thanks.

First, I'm sorry about Kenny's handling of the reservations.
I've posted about this and unfortunately Kenny booked more non-smoking rooms then he had.
As far as "how bad the rooms are" I would say not bad at all.
Especially for the rate. It's not the Ritz but it's not a dump either.
Everyone please keep in mind that the major chain motels
were not agreeable to us starting a fire (cooking) in their parking lot.
I guess I kinda see their point. And except for the Motel 6 all were in the $70 a night range.
This is not a busy motel and I doubt there has been a lot of smoking in the rooms.
They are also having the carpets cleaned the week prior to our rally and I think that will help.
Just FYI... I don't smoke and I'm in a smoking room.
My suggestion is this. show up at the Travelers Inn and see what you think.
If it is not acceptable we can find you another room in town, but granted not for $40.
You won't have any financial commitment to Travelers.
I was flat wrong when I thought that getting the motel nailed down was the easy part.
This, thanks to Kenny has proven to be the hard part.
Once again I apologize for the mistake, and if I can assist you let me know.

No big deal here - it beats the hell out of sleeping on the ground which is what I will be doing the 5 days before arriving!!

OK, so I see that there are no specific ride plans Saturday but IF (a big if) I get to come down friday night or saturday morning I would want to ride. Who all is planning on riding or is everyone hanging around the show?

Victor told me he was canceling his reservation on one of the rooms he had booked.
So, there should be one downstairs/smoking room at the base motel if anyone is interested.

If a double NON smoking pops up, we would appreciate letting us know. Otherwise we are watching the weather and going to decide last minute. Thanks.
