crazy So I need a new stator

We I just found out that my stators are not working correctly and that an OEM will cost me about $1000. So if any one has replaced there stators before I could use some advice as to what would be a good brand to buy.

It's an 06 vulcan nomad 1600D I lost all power and had the battery checked out with no issue so the only other thing it could be is the stators

Regulator/rectifier? Proper way to tell is to check for AC from the 3 yellow wires from the stator. Common fail place is the plug from the stator................Mike

"I lost all power"

Could be a lot of things. Do your lights work? Main fuse OK?
Your bike has 2 stators kind of unusual for both stators to go bad at same time.

What did the meter read out for voltage, both at idle and approximately 2000 rpm?

Hi duo, I have a brand new ElectroSport number ESG618 left over when I bought two thinking I have two bad rotors but found out only the outside unit was shorted. I replaced the out side stator now the voltage out put is good. It's stated that this will fit up to 2008 1600 Vulcan. I will sell it to you for $92.00 shipped Priority Mail.

thanks, but I just had a second look at my bike and found out that it was the rectifiers that are bad.
