Having test rode a Harley 103, 110 and the new 107, Voyager, Victory CCT, and Indian Roadmaster over a year ago I will state that the Voyager was the least impressive of the bunch followed by the 103 Harley. The 110 and 107 Harley are close but I think the 107 would out do the 110. The Victory and Indian were in the same range as the 107. My stock 1600 would keep up with the Voyager.

I'm glad my 106 needs no such modifications. in 2013 I rode from southern cal to Colorado followed by a girl riding a new Voyager. From St. George Ut to highway 70 the speed limit was 80mph. I was fully loaded with a passenger. When we pulled over for gas she asked me why I was racing up the grade. I said I wasn't speeding but dong the limit 80. I had no idea we were even climbing a grade. She asked me if I was in 5th or 6th. She told me she had to downshift many times to keep us in sight! I was surprised. Of course there is another 20/20 hptq waiting in my 106 if I wanted a reflash with pipes and open air. I just don't see the need for it.

There are two types of Harley riders. Those that trailer them and those that push them.

It was a stock Voyager. I've seen other motorcycles and what upgrades do. Unless you are doing something major in the engine, I doubt that it would keep up with the CCT, Harley M8 or Indian.

Frankly, I'm kinda over riding much with groups so it wouldn't matter to me if a Voyager is as fast as this or that. For a while I was part of a Meetup group that would ride to various BBQ joints all over the area, and that was fun. But they morphed into a pseudo biker club who's main purpose was to ride to bars.

As long as an Ivanized Voyager can safely merge into highway traffic, pass other vehicles reasonably easy, and go long distances at 80-85 without working too hard that'll be fine.

A non-Ivanized Voyager does that already quite easily.

Don’t be mistaken, the point of Ivanizing these bikes isn’t to make them some how just good enough to ride. The point of it is to take an already great bike and make it even better by fixing all the crap that is caused by the EPA when they make ALL manufacturers choke down the engines of their machines to get the best emissions and fuel economy and it also fixes a few issues that may or not be related to that, like the jerky throttle issue.

Hahaha. This thread cracks me up.

It is fun to see the old dogs in the mix.

This is fun campfire talk. You old farts sound like Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau arguing over Ann Margaret. ...and if you just envisioned Ann Margaret in her hey day (way before the GOM movie) you really are an old fart. Mine's bigger, mine's faster, mine's better, hilarious.

I can get by calling you old farts because I am one too. It has been 10 years since I became KawaNow member#659. This thread brings back great memories.

Who would have thought Ponch would be touting a BMW, CJ defending his apparel supplier, BD gushing about the Bronze Bomber and Joel (Waterman) supporting.....well...both bikes he has owned. Unpredictable.

Continue on gents, I am looking forward to the next time we are sitting around the campfire, add a little alcohol and all of our bikes
will be faster than a 2003 Dodge Tomahawk.

I will make sure I get both my Hondas turbocharged so I can keep up with you guys.

Well put. I think they're already a great bike in stock trim and probably the best value in their class IMO, but am happy there are services like Ivan's and other performance enhancements available for them for those who want a little more juice.

Can't wait to see the Goldwing on the trailer in Ouray. 🤣 we know you'll have a full load of beer on the pickup. I'll be bringing the pie.

Some day I'll slow down enough mentally to get something different. The HD certainly would be easier to live with. Well, nearly anything would except a Ducati.
