Some interesting reading. Checking tire pressure is the one thing we can do to extend tire life.

Interesting read. I have used that logic regarding left side front tire wear for years, but for some reason people still cling to the crowned road theory.

I was thinking of running a bit lower pressure in my rear tire in order to spread out the wear.
I'm currently run at least 40 lbs.

It does answer a few common questions that we all discuss here. Now if we could only find a way to make these tires last 30-40k.

Hi,

I want to change my rear tire on my Voyager 2013 , i love Commander II tire, but Michelin does not make the 170/70 -16 , i would like to change for a 180/65-16 , is it a good idea ? it is supposed ti fit !!! thank you

Yes that is the one everyone is using on the back. Long wear , but grip not as good as some other brands on wet pavement. But all comes down to personal preference and driving style/habits.

Thank You " Gigicou " for bringing this old thread back to the front. The article on the top was great reading. I also Just purchased the Mich commander 11 for my bike. Ran them on my 1500 classic and will run them again on the Vaquero. Stock tire gave me 5200 miles, I should get better than 10000 on the MC11. Hoping for 12000+. If I slow down some I should get it.

Yes , Yes And Yup. But Damn I have fun and a Smile on my face every day I ride. I still average 25.7 in the city. It is a work in Progress, some day I will grow up. So My Grandchild tells me.

I just saw a post on facebook yesterday that said "If you haven't grown up by age 50, you don't have to!" Guess I'm safe at 58.
