Black Contorls

I am noticing that the controls on late model Vaqueros are Black. I am working on a customization project on my 2006 Nomad 1600. Will these controls work on my bike? Putting on Black Mini apes with 4 inch risers. Would like black controls

They are black on all Vaqueros and 1700 Voyagers. What exactly do you mean by “controls”? The buttons and their housings? The lever housings and master cylinders?

The whole Kit and Kaboodle. I would like to change my levers, control housing, and master cylinders to black.

Controls from a Vaquero will have radio and cruise control switches which your 1600 won't be able to use. You should look for controls from a 1700 Classic, but they will have chrome covers but black Vaquero covers will fit.
The hoses should fit up OK but the electrical connectors will be different.

Buy yourself a set of extra controls off a junk bike or wrecked bike, then strip them out, and take them to the powder coaters...thsts your easiest solution.
Painting black will look good only for a short while until the paint wears off....not durable at all....
