Aftermarket Fork Springs

Hi every one. I want to stiffen up my forks but don't want to do the fork brace. Has any one tried Traxxion Dynamics springs ? Or any other brands ?

Put heavier oil in the forks. That might give you what you want and not cost so much.

+1... Race Tech springs plus emulators in mine, plus the shock shop's carefully blended mix of fluids.

agree with using thicker fork oil and slightly overfilling it --- u will get same results and is inexpensive and if u aren't happy with the results u can change it real easy

if u like to spend money and install aftermarket parts disregard this reply

Hi there. Been looking at R.T.'s web site. I'm guessing if it works for the Voyager, it should work on Nomads. Did you get the FEGV S4301 kit ? It says its adjustable, does a knob stick out the top of the forks ?

Nomad has smaller diameter forks than Voyager, don't assume the springs will work without confirmation from Racetech.

No knob out the top of my forks... I'm aware that Ray made himself a contraption like that for his RT & emulator setup, plus a set for someone else. I've never felt the need to adjust anything, whatever the load. I've been able to bottom out the shocks a couple of times, two-up with luggage going way too fast over railway crossings, but the load on the forks doesn't change much.

Mine were installed by a shop, and I had them modify the forks from their original setup (they were too harsh to begin with, and topped out rather than bottomed out) - so the parts listed on my invoice are likely swapped out now anyway. I believe Garry has a similar setup to mine, but like he says - the forks are different diameter Nomad to Voyager, so you'd best check with RT directly.

I haven't had a problem with bottoming out. I just want better handling in turns.
