Front Cylinder Chrome cover

Can anyone tell me if the insulators under the front cylinder exhaust pipe chrome cover are reusable when replacing the cover? Also how much fun is it to reinstall the clamps when replacing that cover? Thanks Al

I would say no. It is a woven cloth-like material stuck on with industrial strength double side tape, I expect the insulation will just shred if you try pull it off.
The clamps should be OK, just be sure to get them onto the hooks to hold the shield.

Thanks Garry
Wow you have a lot of miles on the 2009. Still on the original engine? I have an 09 that I just bought a couple of months ago had 13800 miles on it now it has 15200. Sure like it so far. Al

Lube them clamps before ever trying to loosen them, they are stainless and gall easily due to repeated heat/cool cycles.
