Sure rub it in. I hate carburetors, but this bike was a deal I couldn't pass on and could pay cash. FI meant newer and a payment.

Okay...you wouldn't be waiting for a carb.

You're right about the payment, though. The only reason I traded the C50T I paid cash for in exchange for a Nomad payment was because:

#1 I'm stupid when it comes to money.
#2 I had 2 car payments going away within a couple of months, and could easily swing it.

As posted I already ordered one. Actually we were able to repair mine and I got the bike going again. Now I have a brand new carb that I paid $600 for in an unopened box and if I send it back it will cost me 25% restock fee. I'll call them next week to see what I can do, unless someone here is looking for one.

Having payments and credit card debt is the American way.
My Nomad came with a payment book. Doesn't bother me a bit making a payment every month, even in the winter when I can't ride it.
The trick is to make sure you can afford the payments.

Exactly, but my motto has always been to not live within my means , but below my means. Makes for less stressful living.
And the manager agreed to a 10 % restock fee, so I'm happy and on the road again-----------without a payment.
