I did this on the last oil change to my car. Grrrrr! Spewed 4 quarts of oil on the floor in about 30 seconds.

I've been changing oil for over 35 years now, and this is the second time I've made that same newbie mistake of not checking. The first time was 35 years ago. Maybe it's old-timer's disease kicking in.
