Bike Pulls Left after Tire Change

When I changed my front tire my 05 Nomad I wondered if it still had a front end wobble. So I let go of the bars at about 40mph. It started pulling to the left. You really didn't notice it unless you let go of the handle bars though. I drove it for a while and although not too bad...it bugged me. So I loosened the front axle, spun the tire and pumped the forks a few times and re tightened everything...The pull is gone.

wierd. must have been some friction on one of the bearings or something.

Might be a good place to mention this.. After having the front wheel off, you are suppose to bump it up against something solid before you tighten down the axle nut, because, one of the fork tubes can drift down while the axle is off. This is what I read, so don't dis me. I always do that and haven't had any problems. Maybe just luck while I think I never have any.

That's correct. That's what the repair manual calls out. That's what I did when I said "pumped the forks". I also did this when I first changed the tire.

Is the wobble gone? My 06 had a wobble at 40 mph. It went away with the first front tire change.

Yeah it's mostly gone. I think the 4" lift on the handlebars make for some heavy vibration which slightly wobbles.
