Republicans are annoying me with calls
The Republicans are really starting to annoy me now After the first few calls from their computer trying to scare me into voting for McCain, not just connivance me, but scare me into it....I had enough.
That phone number that the say at 3 times the speed of the rest of the call, I got it. It leads right to the national committee 202-863-8500. The phone menu doesn't give you an opt out of calls choice, so you pick anything. You tell that person what you want, and they switch you to someone else. You tell that person, and the first reply that they make is "have you ever donated money to the Republican National Committee?" You say no, and they hang up on you. If you can't even tell them your number, how can they be responsible for still calling you? Repeat that about 4 times. Some thing each time. It's too bad that the politicians that made the Do Not Call law exempted political calls :( I call again and choose 0, then 4, that gets you to the office staff of the chairman. Tell them what you want and they transfer you back to the "have you ever donated office" then you get hung up on again. Call the chairman's office a few more times, same thing. Call again and tell them that they will get tired of me, and I'm not stopping till they remove my number. He takes my number and says he will make sure I don't get called. FINALY! Then I get a scare you call from Tom Ridge telling me I better vote for McCain out of fear. Get annoyed all over again, call the Chairman's office a few more time. The Republicans are pissing me off. I'm sure they cold tell the computer to quite calling this number, but they won't do it. They will lie and say they will, but they won't. I know that it isn't as annoying when it's the home team calling, but I hate scare tactics. I hate being manipulated more than most people, and I hate being lied to. I hate being asked if I've ever donated, then being hung up on. If anyone else feels similar, but I'm sure not the same intensity, call 202-863-8500, push 0, then 4, and tell the chairman's staff that you don't like it either. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Republicans are annoying me with calls
Dan,
Annoying to me anybody who calls unsolicitated that I don't know, especially during the dinner hour. When the phone rings, I check caller ID, and if I don't recognize the caller I let the answering machine pick up. Heck most of the time it's for my wife anyway so I rarely answer the phone at all, unless it's from my kids. Almost as annoying as the Obama commercials running over and over again. Guess they have a ton of money to spend. Joe |

Your getting that from the Republican Committee. I'm getting it from the Democratic Committee. Especially for the House Race. Pretty much do the same as Joe and let the machine get the call.

But as I mentioned, Politicians wrote themselves a free pass on the do not call registry. But still, if a person calls the committee and ask not to be called, and if they say they won't, too bad it keeps happening. The Democrats aren't calling me. I only have one phone, my cell. I use it for business and personal. Because I use it as my office phone, I always answer it. |

Republicans are annoying me with calls
I have a couple of responses that seem to work. "You are too late, your opponent paid me a couple of thousand to vote for him. Don't call me again."
"Since you are calling my work number, my time is billable. I need your accounting department address so I can send an invoice for my time." Their response is often you can't do that. "Sure I can my accountant says so. Don't call me." (You can have a lot of fun with this one as you discuss your minimum several hundred dollar hourly rate. Try not to break out laughing, it will spoil the effect. Don't we all wish we could bill them for our time?) "You are calling my cellphone and costing me money, if I was dumb enough to vote X into office then he would really screw me." I did have one that got so annoying I finally called the number to supposedly get removed. Got a voice answering machine during business hours. After the third time, I unloaded that if they couldn't bother to answer the phone during business hours then the jerk wouldn't pay any attention if he got elected. Obviously just another crooked politician. Guessed that I would have to put the name and number on the Internet so people would know how they were going to be treated if they were dumb enough to elect him to office. I made sure I said my number very slowly multiple times and that I did not want their calls. Haven't heard anything from them lately either. Doesn't make any difference which side calls. I am an equal opportunity abuser of these people. I just don't want calls from either side. Remember all you have to do is sound serious and believable, these dummies don't know if you are telling the truth or not.

Republicans are annoying me with calls
RNC called me last week, I gave in the past. Polite young lady asked me "What is my biggest concern in this election, the economy or terrorism?" I replied "Illegal Immigration." She said that was not one of the answers! I said that is my point, the RNC is not listening to the voters. They ask the same questions every year, try to convice us to fight the evil democrats. Nothing changes. They had their chance and blew it. They voted to build a fence along the Mexican border and then failed to fund it. The Executive Branch is supposed to enforce the laws but allows Sanctuary Cities to exist and turns a blind eye to breaking the law and the anarchy that it encourages. Needless to say, the phone conversation that the young lady hoped for did not occur and went straight downhill. She tried to tell me that the RNC is trying to recruit new "Young Blood" to make a difference. I said "good, call me when you do." She hung up.
