#18371 V&H slip ons for a 2015 Vaquero

Presently have a 2013 Nomad with #18371 vance and hines mufflers. Had them on for two years and they are awsome. Just purchased a 2015 Vaquero and would like to upgrade the mufflers. Have been following the threads on the forum about the O2 sensor being installed on the 2015/2016 Vaquero and the use of the 02 sensor eliminator. Also been following the threads on Ivan's flash. Just so I am clear. I can get Ivans reflash, move my V&H # 18371 mufflers from the Nomad to the Vaquero and use the 02 sensor eliminator on my new to me Vaquero without any problems I am also looking at getting the BAK from chucksters. Is my understanding on the above correct or not. If not could you give me some other opinions and information of which would be greatly appreciated.

Mostly correct... You won't need the O2 eliminator. You can simply leave that plug disconnected and zip-tied up out of the way somewhere.

You can't unplug the o2 sensor until you IVANize it. Or buy the o2 eliminator and ride it until you get the reflash and then unplug it, as it is not needed. My eliminator was $16 delivered

Thanks to MADTIME. I knew that it had to be flashed first. The eliminator seems cheap enough. Like the idea of plugging in something to keep the connections clean and weather tight,

If the flash assumes your O2 sensor is disconnected - I wonder if the eliminator sending a message to the ECU that it's not disconnected messes anything up? At the very least, I'd check with Ivan that leaving an eliminator in line won't make the ECU change any of his carefully calibrated fuel settings.

Good point Peg: What you are saying makes sense. I am getting my new to me Vaquero n Tuesday so I am a ways from sending my ecu in to Ivan. I think I will talking to Ivan before hand with some other questions. Thanks for the reply. Certainly something to think about. I also didn't read MADTIME's quote carefully enough.
