"Claying" my bike

If you wash and wax your vehicles regularly, I see no need for clay.

I have one bike I wax regularly and that is my CVO road king. As for my Voyager, I might wax it once.

However, I do believe in washing of my bikes on a regular basis.

If you've never clayed a paint job, you have no idea what you are missing in the end result. You'd be amazed at what contaminants end up coming off your paint and onto the clay. Even brand new vehicles can benefit from claying. Most cars leave the factory with some form of overspray and other contaminants embedded in the paint. Once those are removed, your wax can better protect your paint because you are NOT waxing "contaminants" you're waxing "paint." It also makes the application/removal of wax much easier. The best thing is the amazing luster/shine it creates when the job is finished. (It needs to be waxed afterwards). Try it, if done correctly (it's super easy) you'll be amazed at the results! I was a skeptic until a couple years ago when I did my cars the first time.

Washing does not remove contaminants that get embedded in your paint. :)

If you try it i think you'll be a believer. I'm sort of a detailing-whore and am always looking for ways to get more shine!
