NW Rally Check-In

Hi everyone! We got home safely from the NW Rally about 3:45 Saturday Aug 7. Of course we had to ride the last 80 miles in the rain....sheesh... . Please drop a note here and let us know you made it home okay.

NW Rally Check-In

We are home safe and sound. We ran on wet roads for the first 4 or 5 hours but always seemed to be following the rain. We did get terrible wet between Kaslo BC and Nakusp. But we did get home in one day. About 430 miles.

We had a great time at Kalispell. We met some very nice people and had some great rides together. Thanks to Kris and Greg and CC and any others who had a hand in putting it all together. For those who couldn't make it there, you missed a great time and hopefully you will be able to make the next one. :)

Ava and I arrived safely, but wet, home at 6 o'clock this evening. We were rained on from just short of Chinook Pass to the garage.

We had a great time and are looking forward to next year.

NW Rally Check-In

Hey guys,

Anthony here.
well what a ride after we parted on rt 13. I got to rt 95 which is a rather scenic ride and made it to Cambridge. the 2 motels their were full. Then the sky to the south was black and lighting and the sky to the north was sunny, 95 was running somewhere in the middle. stopped and rain geared up, then the wind really picked up and the sky over head now was black and started to rain. my wife found a hotel in Ontario for me, another 40 miles or so. Well the rain started pretty good and i was just following tail lights to the next town. I got to Payette for fuel and talked with a guy who said there were areas of standing water and they closed rt 52 due to trees down and flooding. So, Ontario is really just a stone throw away now, more rain and wind, stayed in the middle of the road and made it to 84 and a quick jump to the Holiday inn express, my new favorite place to stay with the awesome breakfast. Anyway, there was flooding on the road to the hotel, maybe 50 yards of standing water. Well the Nomad is not exactly a BMW Adventure, but I did make it across the water and to the hotel.
Jumped on 84 and hit Portland with no problem today.
Got only one other check point, the storm really messed my return trip.
but really glad to be home.

Kalispell trip was awesome, Montana and the Canadian Rockies are something only to drive by and feel on a motor bike and not seen in a picture.
Met some great people and had great rides along the way.

Well you guys probably don't want to hear that my brother and I made it home without any rain! Rode 460 miles on Wednesday to Leavenworth. On Thursday we rode HWY 12 from Yakima to I-5, nice road + scenery. Welcome home everyone...looking forward to the West Coast Rally next year.

NW Rally Check-In

Had a good ride home through Hwy 93 to Libby / Troy (stopped at Kootenai Falls was pretty cool). Was a long day considering the group ride at 8:30am / left Bigfork at 1:30pm and got back to Coeur d' Alene at 9:00pm. Wish to have had more time to meet and chat with many of you all. Best Regards to All.

NW Rally Check-In

Just got home about 9:30AM Sun. After leaving Orofino, had a nice ride up till highway 26 and hit a head wind. Coming up Indian hill on I-90 was really windy, but made it just fine. Stayed one more night in Cle Elum and headed home this morning. Hit lite rain coming over the pass and all the way home.
Had a good week and enjoyed meeting everyone. Thanks to Kris, Greg, CC and Brian for making our ride enjoyable. Hopefully see everyone again soon. : :) :

NW Rally Check-In

We just got back two hours ago. After leaving Kalispell on Friday, we traversed via 93S - 200 - 135, then I90 across to CoeurDAlene for that night. Left Saterday am after a nice brunch and after about an hour of 2 mph heading north on 95 - 2 (thanks to all the families going to the Silverwood Amusement park) to the Canadian Border arriving Fernie BC later that afternoon. This am it was pouring rain and cold but a good ride with the wind at our backs. We had a great time. It was great to meet you all. Jim & Rox.

Brian and I got home at 1:00 Sunday. Spent Friday riding the pass and got dumped on one more time at West Glacier. Saturday was sunny and hot and today we came home in the rain.

Had a great time, put faces to the names on the forum, made some new friends, and am looking forward to the next rally.

Ruth and I just got in. First, I want to say thanks to Kris, Greg and C.C. You put in a lot of time and effort and it is greatly appreciated. We had three pretty good days. We came down 83 east of Flathead Lake and avoided rain all the way to I90 where it got clear. I got some road rash that day during a cave tour by slipping and falling on slick rock. On Friday we dodged through Yellowstone (and also dodged on to the shoulder to let a cage driver win his game of chicken in our lane). Had light sprinkles as we headed east on Beartooth Highway. Went down a Gorgeous ride on Chief Joseph Highway and stayed at Ruth's sister's in Belfrey (15 miles east of Red Lodge). Went to a music festival that night and heard a great band, Igor and the Red Elvises. Today we came through the Bighorns and had some good visits with riders going to and from Sturgis. We're home safe and sound and are SO glad we went.
Thanks to all of you for a great time.

Just saw this but did make it home safe on Saturday (wet with Kris and Tricia). I had a great time. Now, if I can only get this forum thing down.
