Dobeck TFI settings

A question for all you guys/gals that have the Dolbeck TFI. I have Vance & Hines dual baggers (and reed valve block-off plates) and I'm planning to install a Caddman air intake when I install a Dolbeck TFI (yet to be purchased). I have yet to install a tach on my '07 Nomad, and I really don't have a good "feel" for the required revs for adjusting the different pot settings. If you have the above mods already made, what are your pot settings?

gary: you can searchon here and you might find all the many threads on TFI settings. Most guys set around 3-6-1-9. it varies by about 1 whole setting for the first 2 pots. Like 2-5-1-9 always might work good. Your suppose to set pot #1 first by locking the throttle at about 2,000 rpm and going higher on pot #1 until it starts to flood out(too rich) then back down to the lowest setting that gives you NO PING on hard acceleration. usually about 2-2:30 will do it. if you set pot #1 too high gas mileage will drop. You have to play with pot #2 setting. just set pot's 3-4 as stated above. Good luck with the TFI.

As Doc said, start with 3-6-1-9 and go from there. Mine is at 2.30, 5.30, 1, 8. Many threads on here about TFI settings.

OK, thanks! I had searched for "Dobeck", never thought to search for "TFI settings".
