The cardiologist cleared me for surgery. He said that what I am experiencing is within norm. If things get worse then I am supposed to see him again but he doesn't think that I have any heart issues. So now I have to wait for the surgeon's office to clear my surgery with the insurance company and then they will give me the date.

I'd be telling them the middle of the winter works better for me.

Just heard from the surgeon's office. My surgery has been scheduled for 9/26. It looks like I still have 4 weeks of riding ahead of me.
I just hope I can wait that long.

Looks like you won't get to ride with RDL until next season.

Providing that recovery is only 2 weeks I should still be able to ride. Last year I stopped riding at the end of November.
With any luck I will have by seat back in a couple of weeks.

Well, I survived the surgery. It took me a while to come out of the anesthesia, almost 5 hours. There is a lot of pain in my stomach and my shoulder. Some of that is caused by the gas they pumped into my stomach. As much as I hate taking Oxycodone I am grateful to have it available.
All right, going back to bed now...

Red glad the surgery went well. Yea the gas they pump you up with sort of sucks lol. So far I am doing real good with minor pain some times! You will do fine,, As for food I am sure they told you eat small portions several times vs 3 large portion's till your body adjust ! FYI if you feel like you need to go to the bathroom go :) You do not want a surprise package lol

I had my gall bladder out is '06 right before I deployed to Kosovo. Scary surgery due to never going under the knife... Nevertheless, I was out in three days, back to work two weeks later. Thankfully they were able to go in laparoscopically, rather than open me up a good deal. This past June, I was hot with 9000 volts due to a downed power line. Mainly static electricty. I didn't touch the wire in any way. However, Iv've been told it should have stopped my heart and killed me. Thank God it didn't!!! I've had to see a cardiologist, but was just cleared last week..... I'll keep you in my prayers brother!!
