Just got back from the surgeon. He said that my gallbladder is full of stones and needs to come out sooner rather than later or risk severe inflammation. He has me tentatively scheduled for the second week of September but won't do anything until I am cleared by the cardiologist. Looks like my riding season might come to an end in the next few weeks.

If you're not in to much discomfort and want to get a final ride in to some place close like Sweet Evalina's or back out to the Bluebonnet in the next couple of weeks we can probably throw something together.

Yeah, no kidding. The timing really sucks. I was supposed to go to a technical conference in San Francisco in a couple of weeks. Now that's not going to happen either.

I am not in too much discomfort; it kind of comes and goes. I plan on riding as much as possible between now and the surgery. We can go wherever, I just have to watch what I eat (no fatty foods).

The surgery is not that bad a few little holes and they suck it right out unless they can't do it arthroscopically. I had mine out gosh maybe 20 years ago. What should of been 4-5 days off from work turned into 3 weeks cuz he screwed it up.

It is normal for it happen once in a while but in my case it can go on for hours where every few minutes my heart feels like it's doing back flips. Doc said I shouldn't worry too much about it but that's easier said than done. I will be visiting a cardiologist soon.

One thing is certain; caffeine and smokes are now officially off the table for me.
Red, I just had Gallbladder surgery and am recovering now. Feel free to PM me or if you want I can PM you my hm #.. I can give you first hand info.. I also got Pancreatitis from the infected Gallbladder and that was worse :O. Again feel free to ask me anything, I also had heart issue being screwey. will see how it helps. Good thing my heart is strong as I used to run 2 miles a lot for the ARMY :)

I have both high blood pressure and irregular heartbeat, the heart beat should be a big concern as it can lead to stroke, during the times the heart stops for a second or so, the blood can pool in the heart and form a clot, this is dangerous, and as soon as I was diagnosed with it, I went on blood thinners and BP meds. so far the meds are doing their job, which is a lot better than the alternative. Get it looked at sooner than later. If the Doc said you shouldn't worry about it, that is like a mechanic saying that weird noise in the motor is nothing, get a new Doc.

Like Smoky said keep a eye on the heart rate and BP.. I picked up a BP monitor that also has a alarm to show irregular heart rate. When in doubt call your Doc.!

Get an arm cuff monitor, my cardiologist stated the wrist ones are not as accurate and can give false readings.
