Anybody ever hear or use these connectors?

Been looking for some connectors to do some wiring without major splicing. I have seen these and think they might be the trick but sometimes easy is not the best. Anyone heard of these or have thoughts?

Never seen them before either. I am like you though, I would like an endorsement before I waste my time and money.

Sorry waterman first i have seen them. Might be worth a try, and a report..

See how tight they are against air and water, which allow corrosion, and or try them with dielectric grease, and or liquid tape.

I wish I could help you.

Thanks guys. Might give them a try on a couple of projects. One at work and one on the bike. One of them I really don't want to splice and solder the wire and this might be a simplier alternative. May try some dielectric grease and also may try some finger nail polish on the plastic treads (works almost as good as locktite but not as strong). I guess someone has to be the guinea pig.

I've used them and they seem to work pretty well. I picked them up at Walmart. My dad showed them to me for the first time.

I have used them when I hooked up the hyper-lites My wife gave me for x-mass. Seemed to work fine for me. Did not seal them due to they are under rear fender inside black cover. Maybe I should seal them.... But for ease of use they are good.

Ive never seen those yet, I would try them in an area such as the headlight bucket or another easy access area. If your working in a tight difficult spot I would still solder and heat shrink the wires. that way you know it won't come apart.

My question would be, does the wire that you are tapping off of need to inserted through a hole, which would require that it be disconnected on at least one end, or does the connector some how slip over the wire. Other than that I would say they look like they would be much better than crimp on splices. The ability to reuse the same connection would make the great for accessory changes.

Anybody ever hear or use these connectors?

I used them just last week to finish the wiring for my fairing. I really liked them. Very simple to use. I used only one, to take power from the headlight wire at the junction box under the right side cover, to power the relay that then goes out to power the stereo in the fairing.

I first saw them on the wiring harness that Eastern Beaver sells for use with the PC8 Fuse box. From there, I tried to get them at auto parts stores around town, but no luck. NAPA is listed as carrying them, but when I arrived with the catalog printout and everything, I got nothing.

So I ordered them from Signal Dynamics and had to pay $8.50 shipping for $3.50 worth of taps. The red ones (PTA2022) fit the 22 gauge wires coming out of the fuse box. Since I was ordering anyway, I also got a couple of other sizes. There's not a hole in the cap where the hot wire goes, but a slot that it fits into. Check out the live demo link on that page, it explains it well.

Hi guys! Was cruising the site, and read this post, then decided on a spur of the moment to order a bunch of them for the upcoming wiring harnesses I'l be fabricating as I mount/illuminate the trunk, add interior LED lights to saddlebags, and lightbar plus fog lights. Kinda saved up all of the electrical add-ons to do all at once. Will report back with results of the installation as soon as finished.

I know Jim from Eastern Beaver sells them on his website, and from my experience, he wouldn't put anything on his website that was too junky.

They look like they should work. You could still use a little bit of electrical tape. I am a believer in electrical tape.
