Regardless which of these combos you run now, which worked best. Thanks.

Naomi came with V&H Baggers with I got it. Swaped out the V&H mufflers for a set of new Road King mufflers. Just slipped on. Like the V&H but they were just too loud while motoring down the road for 8 hours. New ones are nice plesant.

I run stock debaffled. Have 21000 miles on bike.
The sound is good enough for me and the bike still runs like stock.
I will not put the money into after market pipes 'cause then you need to do the air kit ( more money ) and the TFI ( more money ).
I don't need more power or torque than I have now. I am happy with the Nomad as is.

Just curious: Why do you need to do the air kit and TFI if you get aftermarket pipes? I have the V&H baggers, stock f/i, stock air. Bike runs fine. You only need to do the TFI if you open the intake.

To take full advantage of the after market pipes better ability to flow more exhaust I thought you needed to do the air kit to allow more air in. Then you have more air coming in which makes it run leaner so you need a way to adjust the fuel mixture which is where the TFI comes in.
I am under the impression that the bike will backfire on deceleration if just better flowing pipes are installed.
Hey, I could be wrong, I am not to mechanical. I just deduced this from reading the thousands of posts on here.
If I am not correct I'm sure someone will let me know.

V&H came with the bike and Im quite pleased with them, the rear header pipe cracked twice since Ive owned them, but the second repair took care of that problem for good.

V&H baggers stock intake and filter. Love the sound. They will need new packing in a few months, been getting louder as the miles pile up.
