Seriously, any help would be appreciated, the cheaper the better... rebuilding the current engine is too expensive!!

I'd like to find a wrecked Volusia with a good engine!!

Nico, I don't have in exchange manual for motorcycles...

this is a "copy/paste" from a forum posting I found....

After a few years Suzuki decided to ditch the chain drive in favor of a shaft drive. This necessitated yet another redesign of the bottom of the motor, so enter version II of motor 2. Suzuki also went with shaft drive for the new Volusia, which was physically a much larger bike than the Intruder. Cosmetically the motor needed to be larger to fill the frame, so the re-re-designed bottom end of the Marauder was modified and fitted with newly designed cylinders with larger cooling fins to give the illusion of a larger motor. The bike was geared differently, which called for a different power curve, which meant different cams, pistons, electronics…enter 805 motor number 3. By the time it was all done, the only thing that the Volusia 805 had in common with the original 805 was the connecting rods and some nuts and bolts, and Suzuki had three distinctively different 805cc motors in production. And as Suzuki decided to start painting the original motor black, there were two versions of that one also.

I'll keep looking and see if I can dig up anything...you might just try a call to a Suzuki shop and they may know off their head....I guess I wrongly assumed they were all powered by the same 805 crankcase.

Had Judi's son go check out the motor... said it looked like a pile of junk anyway....

We sold the '95 Vulcan 800 yesterday on the spur of the moment.... listed it on Craigslist and sold it within an hour for $2000!! Amazing... So now we have the $$ to get a decent engine for the Volusia..... I had found a couple on line for $1,100, but now I cannot find them!! lol $1,100 for an engine, $5-600 to put it in and we're good to go!

I know BD would install it for a big kiss.... ;)
