C-collar free to a good home. . .
Finally got the call from the shop that I've been waiting for. I picked Lucille up this afternoon and rode in to work. Nice to finally get back in the saddle again after a month of caging it.

Congratulations, LW!
It kills me to have mine apart just over night, so I know you have to be feeling some major relief about now. |

C-collar free to a good home. . .
I just opened this thread. Been seeing the discussion continue to add pages and thought that I would finally look. Reason why it took me so long was that I did not know what a C-collar was and was reasonably sure that I did not need one.
Your post gives all benefit of your experience to help us be better riders. Sorry to hear of you accident LW and glad to know that you and Lucille are okay. Does she still go straight down the road or are you leaving a dual wheel track? I can see it now "Here comes LW riding side-saddle on Lucille again." ::)

Idaho,
Same thing here, except I stumbled on to it earlier. I think it was LW's way of playing down the incident, as serious as it was. Good to see him and Lucille back on the road, but I still don't know what C-collar is but I'm quite sure I don't want one. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

Ells, I hope you don't ever need a c-collar, but here is what it looks like. They are uncomfortable, but neccessary to stabilize and safeguard the cervical spine when injury is suspected until it can be ruled out by diagnostic testing (x-rays and CT scans, etc.). I definitely prefer putting them on other people to having one put on me.
As for the bike, Lucille tracks true and rides fine, and I'm looking forward to riding to the Central Rally. |

Glad to hear that you and Lucille are both better now. Try to catch up on the riding you missed while you two were mending.
