Yesterday I smelled gas and took my right side cover and back plate off and noticed when you turn throttle a little gas came from rubber tubing on the acelerator pump what I lowered the float level . Is it the diaphragm ? It runs perfect but Idid not smell it this morning. I do not know if it leaks all the time or what Can you please give me some advice 1999 1500 nomad

Check to see if the screws holding the diaphram are snug, it may be seeping a bit. Or you may have some fuel line just deteriorating from age and need to replace it.

I checked and the screws were tight. When you turn the throtle a little gas comes out from the little rubber boot on the linkage. It is not much but I do not know if it is leaking as I am riding down the road

carb leak

Ib have never seen a carbed Nomad, but i read about a white plastic fitting on the fuel line to the carb body that dries up and cracks. When it does it leaks.

I have no idea exactly where that is, but if you see what probably looks like a bone white plastic (off white) tubing have a look at it.

Im not sure , as Ive never worked on a carbed Nomad. But Id guess its on the top portion of the carb.
