Texas Hill Country Ride-Route/Itinerary/Discussion

I thought I'd use this thread to post my route that I'll be riding from Lindale, TX to Leakey, TX just in case anyone wants to meet up or needs help along the way. I'll be riding this route on Monday, April 26 - times are estimated:

Texas Hill Country Trip
Lindale-Leakey

6:00am - Leave Lindale - Hwy 69 South from Lindale to Tyler - Take Loop 323 to Hwy 155 South and travel to Palestine, TX.

7:00am - Take 79 South out of Palestine and travel to Round Rock, TX - Gas stops in Buffalo, TX and Rockdale, TX.

10:30am - Take Sam Bass Road (Hwy 175) to Hwy 1431, proceed West on 1431 to Marble Falls, TX. Stop and eat lunch at the Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls (and eat the best pie in Texas). Gas up in Marble Falls, TX.

12:30pm - Leave Marble Falls, TX heading South on Hwy 281 to Johnson City, TX. Turn West on Hwy 290 and travel to Fredericksburg, TX. Turn South on Hwy 16 out of Fredericksburg, TX and travel to Kerrville, TX. Gas in Kerrville, TX.

2:00pm - Leave Kerrville, TX heading South on Hwy 16 to Medina, TX. Turn West on RR 337, go through Vanderpool, TX.

3:30pm - Arrive in Leakey, TX at the D'Rose Inn.

Gas Stops:
Buffalo
Rockdale
Marble Falls
Kerrville

Lunch:
Marble Falls

Estimated total mileage: 380 miles

Here's our map of our planned ride for Tuesday, April 27th:
We'll be riding all three of the Twisted Sisters Roads (RR337, RR336 & RR335) as well as stopping to see the Alamo Village in Bracketville.


Here's our map of our planned ride for Wednesday, April 28th:
This day we will eat breakfast in Utopia, travel to Hondo, TX and Bandera to see the open Hill Country.


Here's our map of our planned ride for Thursday, April 29th:
This day will give us some excellent riding time and see the true Texas Hill Country. We'll stop and see the Motorcycle Museum in Vanderpool-See Stonehenge II and ride the primo road, RR337.


All routes each day are planned to where we can be back in Leakey at an early time for rest and dining in Leakey.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Sounds like lots to do and see. We are staying at the Frio Lodge, should be there sometime (hopefully) early afternoon on the 26th, will ride down to the D'Rose to check in with everyone.
