Got my Reckless

Totally Stoked. Just got my reckless fairing today. Much sooner than expected. Just need to start painting. Any tips from those in the know? Bought a paint kit from colorite.

Wet sand with 600 then prime. Used Kit components from colorite. needs to cure now, then wet sand and buff.

with well coat you just need to sand the well coat then seal and paint. personaly I just paint right on top of the well coat as long as you don't break through to the fiberglass underneath

Yeah, the gel coat had an orange peel finish, so i wet sanded with 600 and then primed and sanded again in an effort to start with a smooth finish. I do not do paint work at all, but talked to some guys who do first and this was their recommendation. I did use adhesion promoter as well. Before priming. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out so far, considering my lack of skill in this area.
