New Ride

Some months ago I had some issues with one of my knees and was looking at the possibility of surgery. Thankfully due to a good doc and therapy, I'm good to go. In the meantime, I was also considering selling my '05 Nomad due to the weight and steering issues. Never felt confidence in the handling. I changed fork oil weight, adjusted the steering head bearing and tried different tires, all to no avail. I did sell that bike. I started looking at different rides, namely the Victory and HD's.

Drum roll, please. My decision was .......... to buy the HD, an '07 Ultra Classic. I don't regret my decision one bit. I now have greater confidence when riding, enjoy the power, comfort and handling. As they say, they're not your father's Harley!!!

This is my first post in the past few months, even considered dropping out of the forum. Thanks to all of you for your insights and tips on maintenance and mod's over the past couple of years. It's for that reason I'll remain a member, checking in from time to time.

Enjoy the ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The day comes (if we are lucky) for all of us that we have to give up our ride - but then, that is why we invented trikes! Glad to hear the health issues worked out for ya, that can be scary stuff.
So where are the pictures? It ain't real without pictures! All our babies are beautiful, each in their own way, so show that baby off!

I forgot to add that this is a "military edition" bike. If you look at the Derby cover you can see a Dept. of the Army decal. These decals (or other service's decals) are no longer available and out of production. This is one of 88 such bikes in Calif. and of approx. 290 in the USofA per Motor City customer service.
